NVT Introduces Extended Distance Power-Video Solution

September 24, 2007 — Menlo Park, CA

MENLO PARK, CA, Network Video Technologies (NVT) has just released the Model NV-226J-PV Video Transmitter +12VDC Converter. The NV-226J-PV is a passive (non-amplified) video transmitter combining a 24VAC to 12VDC converter. Designed to fit on the back of a fixed camera, this unit converts 24VAC power from NVT’s PVD Power Supply Hub or Cable Integrator in the control room, while delivering real-time baseband (composite) video at extended distances, all over one 4-pair UTP cable. Please visit our web site for power-video distances possible with the NV-226J-PV.

The unparalleled interference rejection and low emissions of the NV-226J-PV allows video and low-voltage power to coexist with the same 4-pair cable, using structured wiring practices (EIA 568B).

As with all NVT products, the NV226J-PV carries a lifetime warranty, is UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.

NVT's Introduces 4-Channel Power Supply Cable Integrator Hub

September 24, 2007 — Menlo Park, CA

Menlo Park, CA, Network Video Technologies (NVT), has just released a revolutionary NV-4PS10-PVD 4-Channel Power Supply Cable Integrator Hub. The NV-4PS10-PVD provides camera power while delivering video and P/T/Z telemetry all over a single 4-pair Cat5 cable. Up to 4 cameras are supported by this compact wall, or desk-mount unit.

The NVT model NV-4PS10-PVD combines a 1 Amp/channel power supply with pass through video and telemetry data, for up to 4 cameras, all over UTP wire. Designed for installation in the wiring / IDF telecom closet, or at the Control /MDF room, the NV-4PS10-PVD consolidates connectivity via standard 4-pair RJ45 EIA/TIA 568B compliant premises wiring and pinouts. At the camera, Power, Video and Data connections are made using the new NV-226J-PV transmitter, the NV-216A-PV (both are power-video only) or the NV-218A-PVD transceiver via an RJ45 connector and a single 4-pair cable. /p>

The PVD family allows installers and end-users to benefit from the performance, cost savings, simplicity, and future-proofing of structured building wiring.

NVT's Introduces Low-Cost Passive Stub Hubs

September 24, 2007 — Menlo Park, CA

MENLO PARK, CA, Network Video Technologies (NVT) has just released the Models NV-813S, NV-1613S and the NV-3213S Passive Transceiver “Stub” Hubs. The no-power-required Stub Hubs are compact, rack-mountable and 19” wide by 1U high by 1” deep (32-Channel is 2” deep). These multi-channel passive transceiver hubs allow transmission of real-time color video over Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) cable. Baseband (composite) signal of any type are supported and are up-the-coax compatible when used with another passive transceiver at the receive end. Use with any NVT passive transceiver at distances up to 750ft (225m) or with any NVT active receiver or hub for distances up to 3,000ft (1km). Each model also includes a choice of screw terminal or RJ45 video inputs.

The unparalleled interference rejection and low emissions of the Passive Transceiver NVT Stub Hubs will allow video and low-voltage power to coexist within the same 4-pair cable, using structured wiring practices (EIA 568B).

As with all NVT products, the NV-813S, 1613S and the NV-3213S carry a lifetime warranty, are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.

NVT's Digital EQ™ Active Receiver Hubs

March 22, 2007 — Menlo Park, CA

MENLO PARK, CA, Network Video Technologies (NVT) has just released a range of three revolutionary Digital EQTM Active Receiver Hubs. The NV-872, NV–1672 and the NV-3272 are 8-, 16-, and 32-channel active hubs that allow the transmission of real-time monochrome or color video at distances up to one mile (1,6km) using Category-2 or 3 Unshielded Twisted-Pair UTP wire, or up to 1.5 miles (2,4km) NTSC using Category-5 or better. These Digital EQTM Receiver Hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation, ground-loops, and wiring polarity, independent of video signal image. No video equalization adjustments are necessary.

The NV-872 and the NV-1672 also feature a Distribution Amplifier (DA) built into each channel. These compact 1U high hubs feature two video outputs per input channel (NV-1672) or four outputs per channel (NV-872) for high-density distribution amplifier applications. All three models are equipped with built-in multi-stage transient protection and per channel video quality diagnostic LEDs.

These products allow installers and end-users to benefit from the performance, cost savings, simplicity, and future proofing of structured building wiring. All NVT products are UL and cUL listed, and compliant with CE, RoHS, and WEEE, and come with NVT's lifetime warranty.

NVT releases Power Supply Passive Receiver Hubs

October 1, 2006 — Menlo Park, CA

Menlo Park, CA, Network Video Technologies (NVT) has just released a revolutionary Power Supply Video Transceiver Hub. The 8-channel NV-8PS13-PVD and the 16-channel NV-16PS13-PVD provide camera power while receiving video transmission and delivering P/T/Z telemetry all over a single 4-pair Cat5e cable. Up to 16 cameras are supported in a 1U rack-, wall-, or desk-mount unit.

The 8-channel NV-8PS13-PVD and the 16-channel NV-16PS13-PVD are key hybrid components that consolidate all CCTV system cabling using standard EIA/TIA 568B structured building wiring. Designed for installation in the IDF/Telecom Closet or MDF/Equipment Room, the Power Supply Video Transceiver Hubs have independently selectable 24VAC-OFF-28VAC outputs that can support at-distance camera loads up to 1A per channel (10 Amp aggregate). Use with NVT’s NV-216A-PV or NV-218A-PVD for cable runs up to 750ft. The built-in passive receiver hub comes with 2 foot BNC coax cables for easy connection to DVR or IP cncoder. Per-channel diagnostic LEDs display load/no-load, mis-wires, or fault conditions at a glance. Automatic-reset fault protection, transient protection, and ground-loop-free individually floating outputs provide the most trouble-free solution in the business. The 8-channel NV-8PS13-PVD and the 16-channel NV-16PS13-PVD are the newest members of NVT’s PVD™ family. These products allow installers and end-users to benefit from the performance, cost savings, simplicity, and future-proofing of structured building wiring.
